Building Homes, Communities & Hope
Our Mission:
Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity of Davie County brings people together to build homes, community, & hope.
Our Vision:
A world where everyone has a decent place to live
Our Motivation:
Habitat Davie built its first house in 1995 and has continued to serve nearly 30 families through the construction and repair of homes as well as the financing of affordable mortgages over the last 28 years.
With a recent restructuring after COVID and the affordable housing stock at critically low numbers, Habitat Davie has made a commitment to Davie County by investing in staff to take our affiliate to new levels of production. In 2023, Habitat Davie will serve 2 families through new construction projects as well as open a ReStore in spring of 2023 that will help to fund our mission.
We can’t do this work alone: a core mission tenet is bringing people together. We are able to build, preserve and advocate because of support from faith groups, corporations, foundations, other non-profit organizations, municipalities, individual volunteers and donors. Habitat Davie is working hard to build these connections in the community and be a place where folks from all walks of life are welcome regardless of race, religion, age, or gender.
